composition & sound performance
ten channel sound performance (26'42'')

This multichannel performance consists of an intertwining of pre-produced spatialised scenes with live music, interspersed by the displacement of sculptural tubes.
The piece opens with a growing sound produced by the resonant frequency of a cardboard tube, whose pitch is modulated by a feather fan.
Ping pong and rubber balls are used to produce rolling, swirling, falling and bouncing sounds connecting the resonance of the cello with that of the floor. The feathers return later in the performance as a tool for playing the cello, eventually replaced by an overtone double-bowing scene which closes the piece.
Prospect Sessions is a multichannel audio/ concerts/ listening sessions format at Semperdepot. In this format, artists are invited to explore the possibilities of this particular architectural and acoustic space for a whole week and give a joint presentation of their work at the end. The focus is not to show finished works but to provide insights into the different ways of working. The presentations are designed as open ping-pong sessions and spontaneous collaborations among each other. The audience is thus invited to join an extended rehearsal room.
