Frequent frogs is a site-specific sound installation developed for the water lily pond of the Austrian Sculpture Park in the occasion of STERRRN festival 2024.
The installation unfolds on the island of the pond, a spaced detached by water from the rest of the Fasangarten. It consists of a group of 11 orange wax tubes, of scattered wax discs and of a 6-channel sound composition which co-inhabit the site of Peter Kogler’s “Untitled (2014)” furniture sculpture.
Kogler’s “point zero” circular steel bench, under which the loudspeakers are placed, offers a contemplation site from which fuse listening with waiting with observing with gazing.
